Nettleham and Cherry Willingham Patient Participation Group

Contact: Through receptionist at the surgery.

We work with both medical and non-medical personnel to provide services for patients.

These services include a voluntary car scheme to transport patients to and from the surgeries in Cherry Willingham and Nettleham, and the purchase of equipment such as wheel chairs.

We are open to all age groups and local resident  can join us.

The voluntary car scheme is available to all patients with mobility problems who would otherwise have difficulty attending their appointments. If you qualify, please contact the surgery. There is a charge of 45p per mile.

We welcome new volunteers both as car drivers or to assist with meetings to which the general public are invited. To find out more, please contact our Chair, Mrs Pamela Henderson, 36 Kingsway, Nettleham LN2 2QA - contact via surgery.

We are members of the National Association of Patient Participation Groups.

More about us

The PPG has been ongoing since 2005-7 with the driving scheme commenced in 2007. We have a very good uptake of transport to the surgery and have drivers based in Cherry, Reepham, Fiskerton, Greetwell and Nettleham.

However, support for meetings etc is very poor - no one seems interested in the future of "their" GP Practice.

We have provided blood pressure machines, toys for the waiting rooms and information TVs and had the waiting room chairs re-covered. Soon we will have wheelchairs for both surgeries.
